I am an associate professor and the Director of Graduate Studies in the English Department at Texas State University. I earned an M.St. in English Studies from Oxford University in 2009, and I received my Ph.D. in 2016 from UCLA, where I studied eighteenth-century and Romantic British literature. My research interests include the early novel, poetry, satire, and secularization. My peer-reviewed work has appeared in Eighteenth-Century Studies, Eighteenth-Century Fiction, the Keats-Shelley Journal, and SEL Studies in English Literature 1500–1900. My first book, Godless Fictions in the Eighteenth Century: A Literary History of Atheism, is now available from Cambridge University Press.
